Brad's passion is making things move. He is the brilliant Motion Art Director behind BHLY studio. The way he creates movement and storytelling in 3D is exceptional. Brad's focus is playful art direction with the aim of making our senses pop. He has created animations for clients including Lenovo and New Balance. We spoke to him about his approach and method to creating.
My approach can be quite different depending on the project but I generally start with a mood board, really researching what I want to create and see what ideas I can generate from there.
When I work with clients it’s a real collaboration. You need to listen the clients ideas and thoughts and add to that idea to take it to the next level. Some ideas may start out simple but as we work together that idea evolves and exceeds the client’s expectations.
Compared to a still image motion really captures emotion not just through visual but with sound as well. Really taking the audience on a journey with you.
A project I created for Lenovo - 13w Yoga Learning Anywhere. I worked on the creative and art direction, 3D modelling and animation and the final edit. It really gave me the opportunity to showcase to diverse set of skills.
There are so many talented artists and studios out there..but I would say Clim studio, they do so many diverse projects and work with some awesome artists
